Dog Cake Recipe

Mars turned 1! 🥳 Yesterday we spoiled Mars and celebrated her birthday, it was so amazing and definitely a day I will never forget, because Mars was incredibly happy. I baked her a pumpkin birthday cake, we decorated our house, we played her favorite games all day in the garden (fetch of course), and in the evening we took Mars out for dinner – she got a big portion of meat lol.

Mars’ birthday pawty…

Many of you asked for the dog cake recipe on Instagram. Of course I’m gonna share it right away, so that you can spoil your little ones as well. The ingredients are clean and sugar-free, so there is nothing harmful to the dogs in it, but if your dog has allergic conditions or if you have a sensitive dog, please consult your veterinarian first.🥰

Pumpkin Dog Cake Recipe

Ingredients (for a mini cake pan):

Cake:
• 1 egg
• 90 g all-purpose flour
• ½ tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp baking powder
• a pinch of salt
• 100 ml pumpkin puree
• 2 tbsp sugar-free peanut butter
• 1 carrot
• ½ apple

Frosting:
• 150 ml unsweetened Greek yogurt
• 2 tbsp sugar-free peanut butter

Decoration:
• dog biscuits
• pumpkin puree

Pan: I’ve used a mini size heart-shaped cake pan. If you don’t have a mini pan, just double the amount of the ingredients and use a normal pan.

Instructions:

Cake:
1. Preheat oven to 180° C. Grease and flour your baking pan.

2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

3. Başka bir kapta bal kabağı püresini, yumurtayı ve fıstık ezmesini çırpın. In another bowl, beat the pumpkin puree, egg and peanut butter until well combined.

4. Peel and grate the apple and the carrot. Add them to the pumpkin mix.

5. Slowly add the flour ingredients and mix just until combined.

6. Put the batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake 30-40 minutes.

7. Cool in pan for 10 minutes then invert cake onto a wire rack to cool completely.

8. Cut the cake in half horizontally. We’ll have a layer cake. 🙂

Frosting:
1. Beat together yogurt and peanut butter until smooth.

2. Turn the top layer of the cake the other way round so that you have an flat top. Use an off-set spatula to frost the cake layers. Decorate with dog biscuits and pumpkin puree and serve to your puppy! 🐶♥️
