Peanut Butter Bliss Balls

To avoid spreading the coronavirus, I hope everyone is staying at home currently – I am. And since I have a lot of time now, I am trying to improve my cooking skills and try out different recipes.

Today I decided to prepare my favorite healthy vegan snack: peanut butter bliss balls! Bliss balls are filled with energy-boosting ingredients, such as dates and nuts and contain healthy fats and protein which make them the perfect pre-workout snack. Also they are a healthy alternative to chocolate and are absolutely sugar and gluten-free. And the best part: It takes only 10 minutes to prepare them!

Ingredients for 20 bliss balls:

• 14 medjool dates
• 4 tbsp natural peanut butter (sugar-free)
• 200g nuts
• 200g almonds
• 1 tbsp cinnamon
• 1-2 tbsp water
• topping: coconut flakes

Method:
Place all of the ingredients into a food processor and blend them until a dough begins to form. If the mixture feels a bit dry, add a little water. The mixture should feel a little sticky. Using your hands, roll tablespoonfuls of the mixture into snack-sized balls. Pour the grated coconut onto a plate and roll the balls in the flakes to coat. If you like, you can also add a little bit of the peanut butter as topping. Refrigerate the bliss balls for 30 minutes. Serve them straight from the fridge and store them in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. That’s it. 🙂

I hope you liked this quick and healthy recipe of my peanut butter bliss balls. If you try them out, let me know in the comments down below. 🙂
